Antifungal activity, antibiofilm and synergic effect of diallyl disulfide and diallyl trisulfide against Candida albicans

چکیده

The objective of the present study was to determine antifungal activity, antibiofilm and synergic effect compounds diallyl disulfide trisulfide in combination with agents against clinical isolates Candida albicans, including also a computational study. Antimicrobial sensitivity tests were performed using broth microdilution method minimum inhibitory concentration C. albicans strains modulatory activity checkerboard technique. biofilm formation evaluated by biomass quantification violet crystal staining method. For molecular docking computer simulations. constituents showed relevant albicans. In assay, demonstrated synergistic interaction fluconazole amphotericin B, an increase its action. disulfide, ligands formed complexes ALS3 enzyme. Then, both considered promising products for development new drugs prevent candidiasis.
